Height of stupidity

Early morning there was this man in our neighborhood who was leaving for his work and all of sudden took a turn and mumbled his way back to home. I couldn't understand why. Later heard this man mumbling about a woman who came in front of him would bring bad luck as she was a widow and which is really stupid. How come this man who should be around 40s can educate his children and call himself a matured man. For all these days when she didn't come in front of him did he win a noble prize ??
